B. N. Harrison (est. 1982) began her online adventures in 1995, during the Dark Ages of the Internet, before MySpace or Second Life had been invented. Connecting to her local BBS network at the fiery speed of 2400 bps, she has since made a reluctant adjustment to technological luxuries like "sound cards" and "connections fast enough to process graphics." She's still on dial-up, though. Can't push this crazy progress wagon too fast. Having graduated in May 2006 with a B.A. in English Lit from Western Carolina University, she now spends her time writing novels, making dolls, and applying for jobs. anxiety-dreams is Miss Harrison's third or fourth online home (all those Geocities sites full of angsty poetry from high school tend to run together in the memory nowadays). She hopes you will find her work at least mildly entertaining, marginally informative, and no more pompous than she is in person. (Which, it must be admitted, allows for a fairly substantial margin of pomposity.) The "B" in "B. N. Harrison" stands for "Brittany". In no way is this her fault. Also, not to brag or anything, but the graphics on the index page and the art page are her original drawings. So don't steal them, or she'll sic her flying monkeys on you. (Don't laugh. They bite.)
