I've been fooling around with a needle and thread since I was seven years old, and my techniques have altered very little over the years, although I've figured out the small things, like turning the seams inside out and pulling the thread double through the needle. I've been fascinated by dolls all my life. This is largely because I love to fiddle with the human form. I've probably missed my calling as a geneticist, although there's less short term pay-off in the business of manipulating the genome.
